They record the benefits families receive to determine if there are additional programs they can be referred to, allowing them to receive any wrap-around services for which they are eligible. Staff can also make internal referrals to Financial Coaching to ensure clients learn important financial management skills that will help them stay on track with paying their rent after participation in the rental assistance program.
Additionally, this nonprofit and their external partner now have the ability to rapidly upload clients into their system - transforming a spreadsheet provided by their partnering landlords into an array of Salesforce records with just a few quick clicks. This has enabled them to skip the cumbersome initial data entry process and immediately hit the ground running providing services to clients.
Once in Salesforce, this organization can now track clients’ arrears levels to determine whether the assistance provided to the client is impacting their ability to pay rent. They can also check off the client’s arrears level 15 months after enrollment to determine whether participation in the program helped clients reach and maintain rent stability.
This nonprofit closely monitors client outcomes to ensure they are getting the support they need. As part of this effort, they track if income has changed over time, comparing income at the point of intake and discharge.
