Provisio’s Dedication to Sustainability: How We Cut Down on Waste at Our Biggest Event Yet

As a Summit-level Salesforce partner, Provisio is dedicated to sustainable development. It’s one of the core requirements to reach the highest level of Salesforce’s partner program – a distinction we are proud to uphold for our clients. During Dreamforce 2024, Provisio gathered nonprofit and public sector peers for a special event called The Human Services Hub. 168 guests attended for human services-specific sessions on data strategy & AI. What made this incredible day of insights and connections even more impactful is all that was done to make it a sustainable event.

Sustainability at The Human Services Hub

  • For a museum-style exhibit on technology innovation, we borrowed “artifacts” like old TVs, radios, and cell phones from local Bay Area residents instead of buying brand new items.

  • For the exterior facade, we up-cycled a pre-built prop by redesigning it instead of building one from new materials.

  • We used an electronic system to check-in attendees instead of using paper.

  • QR codes & digital business cards were used to provide additional information to attendees instead of handing out printed materials.

  • We provided biodegradable, eco-friendly packaging for grab-and-go items.

  • Provisio-branded merchandise included eco-friendly insulated lunch totes and silicone reusable water bottles.

The Human Services Hub was Provisio’s largest and most successful event to date. Planning is already underway to do it again at Dreamforce 2025, and we’re aiming to take sustainability to a whole new level next year.
